Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. As a child, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. When she was in 9th grade she started to feel more comfortable after she was acknowledged by her teachers as a success for her performance at school's audition. Not only did she gain confidence through the audition, but she also changed plans for her career. In 1992, she earned her degree from New York's Julliard School. When she turned 23, she started her journey in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old, her movie debut was You've Got Mail. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot, she played The Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. The following year, she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. She is known as a performer and also released a single and an extended version of her play. She also works as an LGBT activist.
